Moreso, Less emphasis should be placed on money for those seeking political office, rather emphasis should be placed on the credibility of the candidate seeking political office. This would discourage intending political office holders from seeking assistance from sponsors who turn out to be political godfathers and thus rely on their ability to convince the electorate to vote them into office. It would further enhance their sense of responsibility to the people and not to a select few (godfathers) who manipulated them into office.
